CTP Expertise

On Track OT appreciates the legislative and regulatory frameworks offered within the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 (MAIA), Motor Accident Injures Regulation 2017 (the Regulation) and the Motor Accident Compensation Act 1999 (MACA). Research shows that work promotes recovery and reduces the risk of long-term disability and work loss. On Track OT is focused on supporting people with injuries to recover at or return to work after a motor accident.

We are focused on early identification of occupational goals and recognise that engagement in meaningful and purposeful activities throughout our clients’ recovery, maximises recovery outcomes and the ability to return to their pre-accident way of life.

On Track OT is committed to the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services and has incorporated the 5 guiding principles of the framework into its work systems and operating model.

  • Measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of treatment

  • Adopt a biopsychosocial approach

  • Empower the injured person to manage their injury

  • Implement goals focused on optimising function, participation and return to work

  • Base treatment on best available research evidence.

On Track OT is also a signatory to the “Health Benefits of Good Work” which is an initiative from the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). This initiative is based on compelling Australasian and international evidence that good work is beneficial to people’s health and wellbeing and that long term work absence, work disability and unemployment generally have a negative impact on health and wellbeing.
